On the road to becoming a naturopathic doctor, I dealt with my own health concerns as well as those of my family members. In the process, I experienced both the strengths and limitations of the conventional health care system.
I discovered the effectiveness of natural remedies by chance. I gave my father some herbs to drink, expecting them to help with his digestion. Not only did his digestion improve, but within days his BPH was almost completely alleviated, something that his prescription medication was not even able to adequately control. As a result, his sleep quality was also greatly improved.
Because of my initial success, I became increasingly interested in natural medicine and how it can be used to help people of all ages attain a better quality of life.
I eventually decided to study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. While working and studying in this field, I have experienced the satisfaction of helping people improve their health and lead happier lives.
Following are my areas of special interest:
I can help you find naturopathic treatments to alleviate many of the symptoms you feel, and also encourage and support you in making changes to your habits that will bring you closer to having the life you want.
Our greatest fear about aging is not being able to do all of the things we used to do. Many elderly people complain about the amount of time they spend in doctors’ offices. “It’s like a full time job,” they say.
As a naturopath, I can help to alleviate some of the common complaints of aging and the illnesses associated with them.
The naturopath’s role in helping you with your cardiovascular health is finding natural treatments and lifestyle choices that can improve your condition.
If you are suffering from digestive issues, it can be debilitating. All you want is to feel good again, to be able to eat and enjoy a meal without the stress of what’s to come next.
Working as a naturopath has allowed me to help people use herbs and dietary choices to reduce or eliminate digestive symptoms.
As women, some of the common health issues we experience are PMS, menopause, yeast infections, bladder infections, vaginal dryness, and osteoporosis.
Naturopathy has been incredibly useful in using herbs, vitamins, diet, acupuncture, and excercise, depending on the condition.
